Arrival At Phnom Penh - Day 1

After meeting at Changi Airport T1, the team was ready to go!

Ben: We had a BK meal 1st of course. Can't afford to go hungry on a Jetstar flight, instant noodles costs $5!

Here are the team members:

from left to right: Enid, Kewei(James), Gary, Edmund, Steven, Paul, Lurong(Anne), Ben .

Ben: Our team ranged from age 12 - 40yrs old! Also, I think half of the team are from different churches. I am quite amazed that the whole team would so well together actually, judging from all the differences. But well, God does the spectacular.

We reached our destination Phnom Penh at night, and were happy to meet our friends from Cambodia! As it is late at night, (and it is not safe to travel around Cambodia at night), we checked into Comfortstar hotel, had our briefing for the next day, and had an early night.

Ben: Paul got hungry though, so we ended up eating again before turning in for the night. It was my 1st taste of Cambodia food, which wasn't too bad actually. In fact it was quite tasty thanks to all the stuff (salt or MSG I'm sure) they put in. Also apparently people don't really stay up late in Cambodia, our friends were sleepy by about 10:30pm so they went back 1st.

Ben: btw, having a room which is facing the road is just bad. The vehicles don't stop horning.
